Carriage Park Major Home Remodel
Open-Concept Transformation: Opening enclosed main living areas for light and flow. Updating the floors, kitchen, bathrooms, and walls.
Before
The Challenge
When Dr. Barnes purchased her Carriage Park home in Hendersonville, it felt enclosed and dated. Limited natural light, mismatched flooring, and compartmentalized rooms didn't reflect her family's lifestyle or vision. She wanted an open space where natural light could flow freely and her family could gather comfortably. The existing layout with dated finishes and unnecessary walls prevented this.
Our Approach
Quality Construction Services LLC delivered a complete interior renovation that included:
Removing walls to create an open floor plan
Painting the old dull stained trims and doors
New flooring installation, and wall paint colors throughout both levels of the home
Redesigning the double sided fireplace as a focal point with new floor to ceiling natural stone
Updating the kitchen and bathrooms
Expert consultation on new materials and color selections
Professional project management with regular updates to the homeowner
The Results
This stunning renovation created a seamless flow between the dining room, living room, and sunroom. Dr. Barnes' family now enjoys a bright, airy space perfect for daily living and entertaining guests. The open-concept design allows family members to connect across rooms while maintaining functional living zones.
We're proud to have helped Dr. Barnes transform this house into her family's home.

The Dam, the Deck, and the Hurricane
Before
The Challenge
After rainfall from Hurricane Helene overwhelmed a family's backyard pond dam, their deck, which had once been a peaceful outdoor retreat, became an unsafe structure.
Water had undermined the deck's foundation, creating voids where solid earth had once supported the structure. Old wood lattice skirting concealed deteriorating supports, and drainage infrastructure that should have been buried was now completely exposed. The structural integrity was compromised.
During
Our Approach: Build it Right, Build it Better.
Rather than patch the damage, Quality Construction Services, LLC took a comprehensive approach to restoring the dam and the deck. The project began with complete demolition of the unsafe structure, removing not just the damaged decking but all existing foundation footings to start from stable ground.
QCS scraped away all compromised materials and created new concrete footings designed for mountain drainage conditions. Twelve tons of river stone were added to provide structural reinforcement of the dam and a better visual.
After
The Results
The completed project features TREX decking with a new patio cover over the table. From below, the natural stone integrates more seamlessly with the landscaping, while the deck above provides a safe, stable platform for relaxing and entertaining. The family's outdoor retreat has been restored with a safer, sturdier structure built to last, and built better than it was before.

River House Flood Restoration
Before
The Challenge
When storm waters rose 6 inches into their Western North Carolina vacation home, out-of-state owners faced a daunting situation from 1,800 miles away in New Mexico. The flooding devastated their riverside retreat.
Exterior cinder block wall collapsed from water pressure
All cabinetry throughout the home sustained water damage
Drywall required removal 2 feet up every wall
Complete flooring replacement needed in all rooms
Large kitchen with island damaged
2 complete bathrooms needed complete restoration
Months passed after the initial damage with minimal progress
The restoration had been stalled for months. The owners struggled to find local contractors they could trust to manage such extensive repairs remotely. They needed a general contractor who could not only handle the complex restoration work but also navigate the insurance claim process and keep them informed throughout the project.
Our Approach
Quality Construction Services, LLC stepped in to take full ownership of the restoration.
Our team:
Got the Insurance Company Moving:
We worked directly with the homeowners' insurance adjuster, using the same software he uses.
Developed an agreed upon scope of repairs and price that everyone was happy with.
Kept Everything Moving:
The owner was so happy we were able to get the insurance company onboard and start repairs.
We communicated well with the homeowner and adjuster as things progressed.
Coordinated All Repairs:
All cabinetry, base boards, countertops, missing dry wall in every room, and all flooring was replaced.
Every phase of work was scheduled and supervised, ensuring quality control at each step.
After
The Results
The homeowner was thrilled:
We got the insurance company to approve all the repairs needed at a price we could all live with.
The comprehensive restoration transformed the flood-damaged vacation home back into a welcoming retreat. New cabinetry and fresh flooring throughout gave the home a renewed sense of quality and comfort.
The project's success was reflected in the heartfelt thank-you note the owners included in their Christmas card that year, expressing gratitude for helping them restore their mountain getaway.

Three Decks Restored at Mountain Getaway
Before
The Challenge
A family’s inherited mountain getaway had three exterior decks at different elevations, each showing varying degrees of structural deterioration at the end of their normal lifespans:
Upper deck: An unsafe, leaning handrail on the second floor, and rotted support posts
Middle deck: Cupped boards stuck up at odd places near the grill and lounge area
Lower deck: Severely compromised decking boards and half-fallen handrails made the most beautiful view of the property a hazardous place.
With multiple families using the property, the deck problems made the outdoor spaces unsafe and kept everyone from enjoying the beautiful mountain views and outdoor lifestyle they wanted to enjoy.
Our Approach
Quality Construction Services, LLC evaluated all three deck levels to determine which components could be repaired to keep costs low versus which needed full replacement. Our approach included:
Collaborative planning: We worked with the owners to understand their concerns and desired results before work began
Structural restoration: We addressed all rotted wood and replaced compromised decking boards. We rebuilt the unsafe areas and restored them.
Incorporated upgrades: We upgraded the lower deck handrails at the homeowner’s request
End-to-end Coordination: Quality Construction Services, LLC managed all scheduling, sequencing, and communication across the three deck restoration, giving the owners a single point of contact throughout the project

The Results

The three decks that had been safety hazards are now welcoming spaces where families can gather to enjoy mountain views and outdoor living. The owners were so pleased with the restoration that they hired Quality Construction Services, LLC for additional work on the property.
